Do you only teach Ballroom Dancing?

While we do teach Ballroom Dancing, we also teach all styles of partner dancing including; Latin, Swing, Country, etc.

How do we decide what we want out of our lessons?

Our Private Lessons are completely customizable to your wants and needs! Whether you are looking for a simple dance to feel comfortable or a fun and energetic choreographed routine, we are here to make sure your have the perfect Wedding Dance!

Can i take lessons with my parents?

Of course! You are more than welcome to bring your parents in while you dance. You can even schedule a lesson with them to prepare for your parent dance!

What if we haven’t picked out a song yet?

That’s okay! Bring in your options and we can try to help you find the best fit!

Should we dance to the whole song?

It’s your wedding, you can dance for as long as you please! We do recommend that dancing for more than 2 minutes may be a bit too long for a first dance. Please take consideration for not only your guests, but also yourselves!

What do I wear?

Whatever you are comfortable in! If you want to wear clothes are resemble what you will wear for your big day or wear workout gear, we don’t mind either way! We do recommend to bring in your shoes for the wedding, or something similar, to get the best feel for how you will be able to dance in them.

When is the best time to schedule my first lesson?

We recommend to come in as soon as possible! The more time you are to prepare, the more comfortable you will feel!

How many lessons should i take?

We recommend to have as many lessons as possible! Although, it does depend on when you start. If you come in 6-12 months in advance, good for you! You have plenty of time! If you come in 2-3 months in advance, we recommend having a lesson every week. If you have 1 month or less, try to come in as much as you can, maybe more than once a week!

How do we start?

Once you have made first contact through email or phone call, we will schedule your first lesson! Each lesson is required to be paid for at the time of scheduling. We will inform you of payment options. Once you start your first lesson, you and your instructor can talk about how you would like to move forward with your First Dance vision!

As a competitive dancer, I wanted to make sure that the first dance at our wedding was very special. However, my husband is not a trained dancer, but we knew that we did not want a choreographed first dance. The team at TM Ballroom took our needs and wants into consideration and taught him the steps that he needed to know for our first song, so that he was able to feel confident enough to lead me through without feeling rehearsed. Todd was even able to edit our song to shorten the bridge and make the tempo faster and easier to dance to. Our first dance went off without a hitch and everyone loved it!

TM ballroom dance has made the idea of being able to dance go from a dream to a reality. My husband and I have been dancing with Cat for 7 months now. We started taking lessons to be able to dance at our wedding, and now we are taking lessons because it is so much fun! We love having a night every week where we are challenged to work together as a couple. Our wedding dance was wonderful! We had enough confidence to get through it, even with everyone cheering and screaming while we danced. Cat also helped our parents get ready for the wedding and I had a wonderful father daughter dance. As part of my bachelorette party, we rented out the dance studio for a few hours and Cat taught all us girls a really fun dance to do at the wedding! We got so many compliments about how great we looked, and have many friends and family wanting to start dancing at TM.

Cat and Todd break all the dances down into pieces that are easy to learn and remember. They tailor your learning experience to your ability and make sure that you feel succesful after every lesson. Sally and I were both newly single.  Her daughter had urged her to get out an be active.  I love many forms of outdoor recreation and was looking for an indoor activity that might broaden my horizons on e-Harmony.  We each found our way separately to TM Ballroom Dance. By chance we shared a glass of wine after a group class and dance party.  Then, dancing at the Denver Turnverein a little later we discovered how much we liked to dance and be together.  It was the waltz underarm turn bringing our smiling faces together than sparked the energy that we feel even more now, well into our first year as husband and wife.  And thanks to Todd and Cat at TM we've learned many more dance styles that we've danced during our travels around the US and overseas.
